Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Performs preliminary screening duties including explaining procedures, preparing charts, and updating records.
Assists with newborn hearing screening program and performs hearing tests.
Fits patients for hearing aids and adjusts hearing aids.
Cleans and disinfects instruments, equipment, and surfaces to ensure sanitary operations. Manages supply inventory.
Performs devise support including troubleshooting and preparing devices for fitting.
Answers phone calls and schedules appointments.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Substitution : A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in audiology environment.
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification as Audiology Technician.
EPIC and Kronos experience.
Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.
MS Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
Conditions of Employment:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider-level CPR certification.
Maintains all required licensure and certifications for the position.
Must be able to work in person.
Must be able to travel to alternate locations as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organizational and personal skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented to create patient charts, file paperwork, and stay on schedule.
Effectively communicate observations to supervising audiologists and patients.
At times may explain procedures and medical conditions to patients.
High customer service skills to help calm patients and ensure a peaceful environment.
