Applications are sought for a full-time faculty clinical position with benefits offered through the (Medicine) Division of Medical Oncology, Department of Medicine, School of Medicine. Candidates should have a strong professional background in Oncology and/or Hematology.

The DivisionofMedicalOncology consistsofa diverse group ofclinicians andbasicscience faculty, clinicalandresearch trainees,research laboratorytechnicians,students,administrativeassistantsand administrators. The missions ofthe DivisionofMedicalOncology aretoprovidethe best cancercare available, toperformcutting-edge cancerresearch,toprovidefirst-rate cancereducation,tooptimize clinician/basicscientistcollegialityandcollaboration,andtoprovideoutstandingresources forthe supportoftheseactivities.This positionsupportsthe ongoingresearch activitiesofthe Division.
This position is full-time at the Assistant Professor level within the Medical Oncology Division, Department of Medicine in the UCCC lung clinic. The Assistant Professor will be an active participant in the Thoracic Malignancies Clinical Program, although additional coverage in other clinical programs such as Phase I may be considered. Participants in programs are involved in direct patient care, clinical research, and, as needed, laboratory and translational research. Potentially having clinics seeing patients at the UC Health satellite community clinics in the metro area (Highlands Ranch Cancer Center, Lone Tree Cancer Center, future Cook Street Cancer Center in Denver).
CandidatemusthaveanM.D.fromanaccreditedInstitutioninthe U.S., or the equivalent.If a non-U.S. graduate,they mustcomplete ECFMGcertification andbequalified toobtain a temporaryColorado Medicallicense.
The candidate must have excellent clinical skills pertaining to medical oncology in general and thoracic malignancies in particular and a proven track-record in clinical and/or correlative laboratory based oncology research, including clinical protocol development.
