The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, is seeking a full-time faculty (1.0 FTE and 0.8 cFTE) in Pediatric Dermatology. This position includes the establishment and oversight of a new clinical practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This appointment will be at the level of Assistant to Associate Professor. **

This positionhas responsibility for performing primary clinical duties at the/CU Briargate Specialty Clinics/for Children in Colorado Springs, CO. Secondary responsibilities will be performed at Children's Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs and Aurora, Colorado. This position will be a member in the CU Briargate Center, a multispecialty pediatric clinic and CU School of Medicine Cost Center that includes faculty from multiple departments. Duties in this faculty position include clinical (including call coverage), teaching, and service responsibilities.

developing clinical programs in a fashion that promotes dermatologic care of children, participating in academic and administrative activities within the Department of Dermatology – particularly the Pediatric Dermatology program, and participating in lectures and conferences for students, residents, and fellows at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Minimum Qualifications:



The successful candidate should have an MD or DO degree, be board-certified in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology, and eligible for a Colorado medical license with prescriptive authority. Candidates dually certified in Pediatrics and Dermatology, but without certification in Pediatric Dermatology, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The applicant must have excellent clinical skills and have leadership experience relevant to clinical practice.The candidate should also demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skillsand ability to foster a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:



The predominant criteria for this position are demonstrated excellence in patient care and leadership, as well as a strong academic focus or area of expertise in Pediatric Dermatology. An academic niche as evidenced by publications, lecturing, or other scholarly endeavors is desirable.
