Job Summary:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • MD or DO

  • Board certified in Pediatrics

  • Board certified or board eligible in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience or equivalent experience in specialized training working with Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.

Condition of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado

  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of accredited DBP or NDD training programs.

  • Experience working in interdisciplinary developmental assessment teams.

  • Ability to provide psychopharmacological management of attention and other behavioral problems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform well as a team member, as well as function independently.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge and experience of interdisciplinary assessment and management of developmental and behavioral problems, and special health care needs, of children from infancy through adolescence.

  • Should be invested in the education and career development of others.

Our mission is to ensure that every child has an opportunity to develop the skills needed to have the maximum level of independence and contentment, and to have optimal physical and mental health. We have a variety of specialty clinics within Developmental Pediatrics including the Fragile X Clinic; eXtraorinarY Kids Clinic; group and individual therapies to address behavior, anxiety, mood, and social skills; parent coaching for parent mediated interventions; psychologists who conduct evaluations in Spanish; and interdisciplinary teams addressing sleep and toileting problems. We also participate in neurogenetic multidisciplinary clinics outside our section. We have a fellowship program in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, and psychology pre- and post-doctoral training programs. The starting salary range () for this position has been established as $172,500 to 200,000.
