Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with study protocols to ensure regulatory compliance, including writing study regulatory documents (informed consent forms, study protocols and protocol application forms) as well as assisting with submissions to and interacting with COMIRB.

  • Participate in clinical studies process including recruiting/enrolling study participants, obtaining informed consent, creating and maintaining study binders, collecting and managing data/study records, and reimbursing participants (on as needed basis as identified by respective PIs).

  • Conduct chart reviews to extract pertinent data for studies.

  • Create REDCap databases and performing data entries.

  • Active participation in department, PRI-specific team and supervisory meetings, as well as attend PI/lab meetings for specific projects as needed.

  • Assist in the creation of research recruitment materials and advertising campaigns.

  • Work with PIs and other research staff to ensure various studies are performed according to University guidelines and meet regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Intermediate Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

  • One (1) year clinical research or related experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or health related field.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of clinical research or related experience.

  • Experience working on research studies involving human participants.

  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).

  • Experience with building and maintaining REDCap databases for study data collection as well as regulatory monitoring.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
