Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet lab.
Familiar with RNA isolation, reverse transcription, and quantitative real-time PCR.
Cell culture experience, including transfection.
Plasmid design and preparation, primer design and verification.
Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP).
Experience with Immunohistochemistry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
Able to handle and perform experiments using various murine models of human disease.
Strong experience in cell culture.
Able to construct and test expression plasmids, and perform cell transfection.
Able to design primers and perform ChIP.
Must be willing to learn new techniques as needed, pay attention to detail, and work well in a lab with multiple investigators.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, personable, highly motivated, and have demonstrated the ability to work independently, as well as under the direction of multiple investigators.
