Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functions as they related to toxicology.
Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects; for example, perform experiments and tabulate, analyze research, pick up, transport, and maintain results, samples, documents, materials and other items as needed.
Support analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting and communicating results and perform pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical test process and evaluate results produced specifically working with the toxicology team and using of LC-MS/MS and INDIKO clinical analyzer operation, and performing instrument preparations, tuning, and maintenance.
Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety cleanliness, and related areas as well as disposing of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions according to DEA, CAP and CLIA compliances.
Provide administrative support such as sample management, data and document management, supply orders and management, preventive maintenance scheduling, preparation of invoices, project monitoring and tracking, and client communications.
Provide support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve process, unit and related issues.
Assist in the review and implementation of lab support policies, practices and programs to meet organizational, operations and management needs as well as assisting to train junior team members (at the intermediate level).

Entry Level:
Bachelor's degree in toxicology, forensics, biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Intermediate Level:
Bachelor's degree in toxicology, forensics, biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
One (1) year professional level research experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet lab.
Two (2) years of experience in a clinical laboratory including laboratory administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Moreover, iC42 Clinical Research and Development serves as a central laboratory for national multi-center trials and coordinates and carries out clinical studies. The laboratory is compliant with the rules of good laboratory practice (cGLP, 21 CFR part 58), and it is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and CLIA certified.
