The Gates Biomanufacturing Facility has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Materials Coordinator & Administrative Assistant (Administrative Assistant I) position.

_Nature of Work:_

The University of Colorado I Gates Biomanufacturing Facility at Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications of a Material Coordinator. This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will provide front desk/administrative support and material coordination to include handling the materials shipping and receiving to the Gates Biomanufacturing Facility (GBF) at Anschutz Medical Campus. This includes greeting guests and acting as a liaison between the GBF and all visitors. The position will also serve as the first point of contact for in-person and over the phone client interactions, and handling the materials shipping and receiving for the facility. Some additional administrative functions of this position include scanning, filing, typing and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

_Examples of Work Performed:_

  • Answers incoming phone calls.

  • Responds to clients' inquires via phone, email or in-person.

  • Accepts and signs for deliveries, including letters, packages etc. and distributes them.

  • Maintains accurate logs of materials receiving and maintains inventory.

  • Administers the GBF visitor safety program, this includes providing personal protective equipment in order to ensure visitor safety.

  • Trains contractor and service personnel as directed.

  • Assists with inventory and procurement transactions as required.

_Salary and Benefits:_

The starting salary for this position has been established at $30,084 and \is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

_Minimum Qualifications:_

  • One (1) year of general clerical experience, which includes material or inventory control.

  • Experience utilizing general office equipment (fax, copier, shredder, scanner, telephone, etc.).

  • Receiving and inventory control experience.

Substitution: College or university course work appropriate to the work assignment may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

_Preferred Qualifications:_

  • Two (2) or more years of general clerical experience.

  • Experience working in an office setting.

  • Experience answering phones and triaging inquiries.

  • Experience in meeting coordination from scheduling of client(s) to setting up room.

  • Inventory warehouse experience.

  • Experience in a controlled or highly regulated industry.

  • Ability to address multiple ongoing challenges that will be encountered while performing required job duties.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).

  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with the MRP System (Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains).

  • Personable, friendly, and able to work well under pressure, especially when assisting customers.

  • Ability to answer a variety of questions effectively and keep traffic moving.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving required.

  • Excellent communication skills in both written as well as presentation of data.

  • Ability to work in a clean room environment including in provided garments

  • A team-oriented, self-starter capable of operating independently in a start-up environment.

  • Familiarity with the use office machines (e.g. printer, scanner, etc.).
