Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, recruit, and consent study participants and families

  • Maintain familiarity with study protocols and documents of assigned

  • research studies.

  • Inventory, handle, and maintain accountability for study supplies and

  • investigational products in collaboration with research pharmacy.

  • Perform data and sample collection at in person and telephone research

  • visits.

  • Handle, process, and store biological specimens

  • Work as a team member in coordination of assigned primary studies.

  • Subject recruitment, consent and retention.

  • Work with investigators and other staff to prepare IRB submission and

  • maintain study approval and certification.

  • Research database maintenance and data entry

  • Oversee participant visits in the pediatric Clinical Translational Research

  • Center

  • Administer and conduct study assessments with participants

  • Assist PI with scientific abstracts, publications, and presentations as

  • requested

  • Conduct study assessments and questionnaires with participants

  • Assist with participant retention

  • Manage expenses associated with the grant

  • Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data

  • Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems

  • Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Qualifications:

Entry Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis

Intermediate Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis

  • One (1) year clinical research or related experience

Senior Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, life sciences, physiology, or other related field

  • Two (2) years of clinical research or related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in science or health related field

  • Three (3) years of clinical research or related experience

  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion

  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology

  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
