Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a full-time University Staff (non classified) Payroll Coordinator. . The Employment Services Coordinator is responsible for all PeopleSoft HRMS/HCM entries, including approvals of new hires, transfers, and FTE changes for faculty, staff, and student employees, process new employee payroll forms, payroll, and maintains personnel records for the School of Dental Medicine. This includes managing and oversees biweekly and month payroll processing, faculty letters of offer, and I-9’s. This position will also oversee the recruitment process for all faculty searches including credentialing, visa acquisition, relocation, absence records, annual performance evaluation process, compliance with university rules and regulations regarding reappointment, and determination of sabbatical eligibility

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Provides expert service, management and guidance on payroll policy, procedures, interpretation and monitors compliance with state, university and federal policies.

  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure all HRMS/HCM entries meet campus and university payroll deadlines and all records are accurate.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external offices related to payroll, employee services, human resources, faculty, staff, and benefits.

  • Manage and update the mid-year and annual Tables I-V to include FTE changes, New Hires, Separations, Transfers, and Promotions before annual School submissions to the university budget office.

  • Maintains in accordance with campus standards, personnel files of current and past faculty and staff.

  • Responsible for coordination and control of the time-keeping system for the School’s overtime-eligible employees.

  • Create Personnel Action reports for all faculty, research, volunteer faculty and university staff

  • Facilitates all letters of offer for all faculty positions new and transferring employees.

  • Maintains and reallocates all charges for the A-card used for official University business following all Federal, State and University policies.

  • Primary contact for ID Security Badges at the School of Dental Medicine.

  • Manage POI statuses for School of Dental Medicine.

  • Assist with onboarding all new employees.

  • Maintain initial credentialing files and documentation for faculty. Ensure credential compliance through compliance database.

  • Complete and maintain Medicaid credentialing for faculty.

  • Full cycle faculty recruitment.

  • Manages the annual faculty performance management process by ensuring the completion of faculty evaluations and collection of faculty merit scores.

  • Submits background checks on volunteer faculty.

  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality following CORA, FLSA, HIPAA rules and regulations in regards to record retention.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $51,151 - $85,935 and is commensurate with skills and experience.The salary offered is usually the minimum listed, however, a salary above the minimum may be offered for some hard to fill positions.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience in personnel services particularly in the areas of payroll and or compensation.

_Substitution:_A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis but not for the specific required experience.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

  • Advanced experience with PeopleSoft HRMS/HCM.

  • Experience with state personnel administration.

  • Experience with higher education personnel administration.

  • Excellent computer and database skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word .

  • Experience working in human resources.

  • An advanced degree in the area of business, public administration, education or a personnel-related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS system.

  • Familiarity with the State of Colorado Personnel Rules and Regulations.

  • Familiarity with university rules and regulations regarding faculty and classified personnel.

  • Advance knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
