Job Summary:

This is a two-year position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research in statistical methods for analysis of survival data, and longitudinal data with missing outcomes.

  • Collaborate as a team member on health services research projects within a Data Coordinating Center (DCC)

  • Develop and adhere to an individual learning plan.

  • Write manuscripts and deliver presentations at national conferences.

  • Contribute to grant applications with input from the DCC faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or related field

  • Experience using R and/or Python to carry out data analysis.

  • Demonstrated track record of research experience and publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in longitudinal data analysis

  • Expertise in time-to-event analysis

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently on data analysis and research.

  • Ability to work well with a diverse team.

The Department of Biostatistics and Informatics (BIOS) of the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) has an opening for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow position. The successful candidate for this position will work with Drs. Kathryn Colborn and Elizabeth Juarez-Colunga. The selected candidate will benefit from and contribute to multiple existing collaborations between BIOS and the top-ranked hospitals in the Anschutz Medical Campus: Children's Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Hospital. Specifically, the selected candidate will work on projects funded by Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) that aim to develop statistical methods to address methodological challenges in serious illness and palliative care studies. The selected candidate will assist with projects involving analysis of longitudinal data with missing, correlated data, and truncated outcome data. Pursuit of independent research that aligns with the project goals is encouraged. The selected candidate will work jointly with other faculty, students, and physicians in collaborative projects as part of a Data Coordinating Center.
