Professional Research Assistant

Nature of Work:
This part-time (50%) PRA position is designed to assist the clinical research team in the Santoro-Polotsky Lab within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with the execution of an NIH Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant clinical protocol. The role will be to work as part of the team with the other Study Coordinator to perform patient screening, recruitment and protocol completion. The position will primarily be based at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Some travel may be required to a second recruitment site in Denver.
The PRA will be supervised by the lead PRA Study Coordinator in the Santoro-Polotsky Lab. The overall supervisor of these clinical projects is Dr. Nanette Santoro.
Examples of Work Performed:
Screen, recruit and consent research participants at University of Colorado
Accurate data collection and data entry
Collect, process, and ship samples for research
Issue study participant payments and maintain recordkeeping of SSPs in database
Conduct follow-up phone interviews, schedule clinic visits
Assist with WIRB submissions for amendments and other reports
Assist with study-specific capitation and allocation of expenses
Assist with maintenance of research folders/checklists, keep datasheets up to date
Assist with study binders, excel follow-up spreadsheets, orientation packet, regulatory binder
Maintenance of study specific certifications, COMIRB training, computer training and other hospital required training

Bachelor’s Degree with a fundamental knowledge of biology and medical sciences.
