Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Beowulf cluster design and construction
Installation of AutoDock Vina and GROMACS software to run in a parallel configuration
Implementation of HTS docking protocols
Implementation of server-queued molecular dynamics
Assist student researchers with training and implementation of molecular docking and molecular dynamics software

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in computational science, 3D computer animation, etc.
Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5, Maya, Blender
Condition of Employment
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that may occasionally include evenings/weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in computer animation, website design
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

The Lampe Lab is looking for a full-time (100% time), hourly Temporary Research Assistant (TRA) with a computational background (computer science, computer animation, 3D art, etc.) to design and construct a Linux-based Beowulf computational cluster for implementing high-throughput molecular docking and molecular dynamics software (AutoDock Vina, GROMACS, etc.). The ideal applicant should have experience with hardware design and construction, as well as Linux system administration and parallel computing. Experience in either blade server or Beowulf construction preferred. This position will work up to 40 hours per week. Working hours are flexible. This position is currently funded for three months, with the possibility of an extension depending on future funding availability.

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
