Job Summary

The Office of Admissions welcomes applications for a Communication Coordinator.This position is primarily responsible for creating digital marketing content as well as updating and maintaining multiple websites for the Office of Admissions. In addition to website management, this position will assist in creating and executing marketing campaigns supporting student recruitment and yield efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets.

This position participates as a member of the internal Marketing and Communication team; collaborates with multiple admission recruitment teams as well as campus partners; and provides support for the strategic development, design, execution, analysis and management of all assigned marketing campaigns within the Office of Admissions’ integrated marketing and communication plan.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Coordinate

  • Coordinate and implement multiple communication and marketing campaigns through a variety of channels including web, email, social media, digital and print.

  • Utilizing marketing principles and an understanding of the relationship between design, content and user experience adapts content as needed for each medium and audience.

  • Ensure that all media platforms are fully utilized and coordinated with larger marketing campaigns by working closely and collaboratively with marketing and communication team members.

  • Develop, review, and edit copy for web, social media, email, printed publications and presentations.

  • Manage blog content and content calendar.

  • Maintain and update multiple websites for the Office of Admissions.

  • Develop visual assets for web, email, social media, printed publication and presentation use.

  • Assess campaigns for effectiveness and engagement.

  • Actively use the Office of Admissions' CRM system, especially for, but not limited to, developing campaigns; creating, testing and validating audiences; developing HTML documents; testing; sending; tracking and assessing marketing tactics.

Network

  • Collaborate with multiple admissions teams and campus partners and with guidance from their supervisor, supports the strategic development, design, execution, analysis and management of multiple marketing campaigns supporting recruitment and yield efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities including: changes in regulations, technology, and best practices.

The anticipated salary range starts at $40,000.

What We Require

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, advertising or a related field.

  • Minimum one year experience using marketing principles to create content and execute multichannel tactics for marketing and communications campaigns for a professional organization.

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create digital assets for campaigns.

What You Will Need

  • Familiarity with a content management system.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.

  • Strong knowledge of the AP style guide.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to self-monitor quality control and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple marketing campaigns and/or communication projects at once.

  • Models quality customer service.

  • Ability to manage and analyze data.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Two years professional marketing and communications experience.

  • Intermediate experience facilitating collaborative work among marketing professionals in a higher education setting.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS and/or a content management system, preferably Drupal.

  • Experience developing web content and using analytics, especially Google Analytics, to support web strategy and engagement.

  • Experience with email distribution platforms.

  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically InDesign and/or Photoshop.

  • Knowledge of Admissions and/or CU Boulder.
