Job Summary

The Quantum Processing Group in the Quantum Electromagnetics Division at NIST seeks a Postdoctoral Associate. This position will collaborate with an MBE group to design, fabricate, and measure low loss epitaxial materials into superconducting microwave resonators and qubits. A strong nanofabrication background and experience with low temperature measurement and device design is required. Materials science knowledge is an asset.

The Professional Research Experience Program (PREP) is a special partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Colorado Boulder. PREP provides research opportunities to CU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as researchers with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in NIST labs to gain research experience alongside NIST scientists.

What We Require

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Expertise in superconducting quantum computing or a willingness and strong drive to develop the expertise is preferred.
