Salary Range : $ 45,396 - $58,074 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Summary

The marketing specialist and student advisor combines two roles for the Johnson Beth-El and the Registrered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) program option. As the marketing specialist, this position will be working to increase visibility and communication, build brand awareness, lead and organize campus-based media/marketing efforts, coordinate website content, and develop and implement a comprehensive marketing/communications strategy, in collaboration with the university marketing department. The specialist will develop marketing material, coordinate promotional campaigns, review and approve social media strategies, and improve website presence, as well as develop promotional strategies and lead marketing efforts for online and face-to-face events. As an academic advisor for RN-BSN students, the advisor facilitates the university's academic mission by providing essential services for students including academic advising, career development, student advocacy, and degree audit evaluation.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Determine and implement a marketing plan for student recruitment and college constituent communications.

  • Develop recruitment print publications, digital advertising emails, letters, and website content.

  • Attend recruiting events at high schools, community colleges, and healthcare facilities.

  • Provides advice and implementation support to college departments and programs regarding marketing and media projects.

  • Develops and posts content on social media, posting college news, activities, and events.

  • Works with college student clubs, faculty, and staff to ensure all communication and marketing materials follow UCCS brand and style guidelines.

  • Develops, updates, and maintains the college website content using the campus web content management system.

  • Provide advising and auditing services to RN to BSN prospective students in the recruitment field with detailed, first-hand knowledge of this process.

  • Provide advising and auditing services to RN to BSN enrolled students in coordination with the Academic Advising team.

  • Contribute to increased enrollment by providing RN to BSN students with admission statuses, orientation information, instructions to register for coursework, and important deadline reminders.

  • Monitor RN to BSN enrollment and track progression and post-graduation data.

  • Provide regular reports on marketing, recruitment and enrollment performance to College and RN to BSN Program leadership and campus stakeholders.

  • Assist the RN to BSN Coordinator as a point for contact for enrolled students.

  • Assist the RN to BSN Academic Services Professional in communicating important deadlines.

  • Streamline the RN to BSN graduation process through timely degree audits.

  • Advocate for RN to BSN students through collaboration with university departments.

This position works collaboratively with the university marketing department, as well as serves as the liaison between the university marketing department and the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, business, marketing, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • Experience with public relations, copywriting, social media, and web/digital media.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is acquired may be considered as a substitution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in communications, journalist, marketing, or related field.

  • Previous marketing experience in healthcare.

  • Experience providing photography.

  • Previous student advising experience.

  • Two years of advertising/marketing.

  • Knowledge of student recruitment in higher education.

  • Knowledge of customer relationship management.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time and hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
