The Project Coordinator will work on an NIAAA funded project focused on the development and evaluation of an online, family-based dating violence and alcohol use prevention program for LGBTQIA2S+ youth and their caregivers. The coordinator will work with Dr. Heather Littleton

conducting research-related activities in support of the project, which includes providing day-to-day research and clinical trials management support and data management. Other duties include assisting in study advertising, organizing advisory board meetings, and conducting eligibility interviews and exit interviews. This is a two-year fully grant funded position.

Job Duties:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide coordination and day-to-day research and clinical trials management support to the Principal Investigator (PI) and project team.

  • Track participants through the clinical trial including session attendance, reminders, and survey completion.

  • Track milestones for the project.

  • Assist with study advertising and participant recruitment.

  • Coordinate participant reimbursements and track compensation, including gift card distribution.

  • Conduct session fidelity checks.

  • Supervise research assistants and program facilitators.

  • Maintain open communication with the PI.

  • Assist with the preparation of research compliance forms and reports.

  • Assist with entry of data into the NDA data repository.

  • Screen participants for eligibility.

  • Assist in literature reviews and manuscript writing/editing.

  • Data management.

  • Attend regular team meetings.

  • Schedule meetings and keep meeting records.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Location: Candidates who are able to work locally in Colorado Springs are preferred. Hybrid and remote work options are available.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $42,005-$57,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of external grant funding. Funding is currently expected to last two years.

Tentative Search Timeline:

  • Priority will be given to applications submitted by March 31, 2024 . However, this posting will remain open until filled.

  • The potential dates for interviews with the search committee will be the week of April 1 ,2024.

  • The potential dates for interviews with the supervisor and appointing authority will be the week of April 8, 2024.

  • The potential employee start date is June 1, 2024.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Qualified applicants will have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Work or a related field and have at least one year's experience as a research project coordinator. Alternatively, candidates without a bachelor's degree should have at least five (5) years of experience as a research project coordinator.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time.
