The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2020. The department is especially interested in applicants with a strong record of scholarship and teaching in Criminology, Sociology of Law, or Sociolegal Studies. Priority will be given to applicants who use and can teach quantitative methods and statistics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.

We are a productive faculty that provides both undergraduate and MA students with hands-on learning experiences through internship and research opportunities. The regular teaching load is 2 courses per semester, which may be reduced for an initial period, and faculty have access to excellent resources to support research.
