Applications are being accepted to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Department of Bioengineering on a semester-by-semester part-time basis (one or more courses per semester) as needed depending on course schedules and required personnel at the Denver Campus or the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. Course sections will vary term to term and may include required courses and/or technical electives in the bioengineering program, including: physiology; cell biology; analytical mathematics; numerical methods; statistical methods; computer programming; 3D modelling; clinical imaging; biomedical optics; biomaterials and polymers; biomechanics; bioinstrumentation; bioengineering design; and bioengineering laboratory. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: course instruction according to department expectations; course syllabus preparation per the approved institutional template; preparation of teaching materials for class and/or laboratory in accordance with the program curriculum; preparation of examinations, quizzes, homework, and associated grading; maintaining posted office hours and attending recitation period for student consultations; revising curricula materials according to feedback from the department.
A Ph.D. in Bioengineering or related field is required for teaching graduate level courses.
A Master of Science in Bioengineering or related field is required for teaching undergraduate level courses.
Candidates with research and/or industrial experience in related discipline and/or teaching experience in higher education are preferred
