The University of Colorado at Denver Department of Political Science invites applications for part-time, non-tenure-track teaching positions in Political Theory and Research Methods for the Fall of 2019. The Political Theory lecturer position will commence in in late August of 2019 and end in mid-December of 2019. The Research Methods lecturer position is for a weekend class that runs from October to early December.
The Department seeks lecturers to teach two classes in our fall 2019 semester, namely: Early Political Thought (PSCI 4407), and Research Methods (PSCI 5468). Early Political Thought is offered M/W 3:30-4:45 pm. The Research Methods course is a graduate seminar offered in a weekend intensive format. The course will meet the weekends of October 12/13, October 26/27 and December 7/8.
We seek to hire either one or two separate lecturers for these two courses, depending on experience of training of the applicants.
Master's Degree (in Political Science or related field) or Juris Doctorate from an accredited university. Previous teaching experience preferred. PhD or ABD in Political Science preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
Anticipated salary is $4,185 per course.
This part-time appointment is not eligible for group health, life insurance, or retirement benefits.
